Mrs Alexandra Behnam, wife of Dr Awni Behnam, Honorary President IOI, passed away on the 7th August 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland. On behalf of the IOI Network, the Governing Board and Secretariat extend deepest condolences to Awni, their sons and spouses, grandchildren, family, and friends, at this difficult time.
We will all miss Alexandra very much too. Over the years, she has been a regular and very welcome guest to IOI events, making friends worldwide. The IOI family has benefitted so much from the support that Alexandra has shown to the IOI itself and to the contribution of her beloved husband Awni in his longstanding role as leading light, father figure and mentor of the IOI and IOI alumni over the years. May Alexandra rest in everlasting peace and light, and may family and friends find solace in the wonderful memories of a loving wife, mother, and friend.
