IOI Headquarters (IOI HQ) in Malta serves as an administrative and documentary information node for project development and management of the IOI with the aim of providing liaison and effective communication between the IOI network, the IOI Governing Board and other partners and supporters.

IOI HQ serves as the secretariat of the IOI and is responsible for all administrative and managerial tasks as well as day-to-day operations. An important role is the support of the Governing Board in fulfilling its mandate as well as supporting fundraising and project development, providing outreach and awareness raising through information dissemination and the support of various IOI official publications.
